With all the atrocities committed in our name, wouldn’t it be nice to see Bush, Blair, Cheney, Wolfowitz all in the dock? And Obama and Rahm and all the cohorts causing evil killing and torture to millions?
Strangely enough it might just start in Israel. And even stranger, if the leadership is indicted, there is no opposition to replace Bibi, Ehud Barak and Lieberman. There is just more of the same.
Haaretz is leading with a grim-faced PM Bibi refusing calls for an international enquiry.
And some seemingly conscientious objections by Israeli Naval officers themselves:
Israel Navy reserves officers: Allow external Gaza flotilla probe
Officers denounce operation as ‘military and diplomatic failure’, slam government for placing blame on the activists.
“First and foremost, we protest the fact that responsibility for the tragic results was immediately thrust onto the organizers of the flotilla,” wrote the officers. “This demonstrates contempt for the responsibility that belongs principally to the hierarchy of commanders and those who approved the mission. This shows contempt for the values of professionalism, the purity of weapons and for human lives.”
We are all so used to the spin and dribble, the contempt for the truth, just as we see it in our nations, so it is occurring in Israel. As above – so below. From non-existent weapons of mass destruction, to Al Qaeda cells everywhere. The Israelis are more cushioned thanks to all the money pouring in there. Making their population astoundingly right-wing. Yet it seems, crunch time has arrived.
Breaking out of the siege
If Israel is to break out of the international siege and strategic catastrophe it now faces, it urgently needs a different policy.
Israel has no opposition and no alternative
While Zuabi was savagely attacked in the Knesset – Livni kept mum. When the blockade continued – Livni kept mum. After Israel brutally abducted the flotilla ship – Livni skipped from one television studio to another, justifying the operation with frightening alacrity.

Suspicion growing about possible link between PKK and Israel
Amid the growing outrage over an Israeli attack on civilian ships in international waters that killed nine Turkish pro-Palestinian activists and wounded dozens last week, there is deepening suspicion about the possible Israeli involvement in the killing of seven soldiers in a terrorist rocket attack on a naval base in İskenderun, in the southern province of Hatay.
Turkish intelligence organizations are looking into possible connections between the two incidents that occurred on the same day only hours apart.
There is more at stake than Israel or Zionism, there is world Jewry, banking and oil. For now we can all marvel at “people power”, and how the sheer indignation of people everywhere has had greater effect than any politicians or media.
The map shows the growing military alliance against Israel to include Turkey, and Russia has a military base in Syria, and is arming the Syrians and Lebanon and Iran.
That the US (NATO) has troops in Iraq is also a deterrent to any Syrian actions. That the US has troops in Afghanistan keeps Pakistan at bay. And all these troops are supposed to threaten Iran, no doubt they were originally intended to get into Iran (NeoCon strategy).
Now if the US leaves Iraq and Afghanistan, first of all Pakistan would immediately join in any military alliance against Israel. The Pakistani press has referred to Israeli involvement for years, also, over 90% of the Pakistani population deeply resents all the trouble that America has brought them.
It seems like crunch time. The tragedy of humanitarian volunteers being killed is one thing, to see it erupt into a World War is another.
The only policy that Israel and the US are following, is corrupting a class of puppeteers, and collectively punishing whole populations (War crimes). This is the reality, from Gaza, to the bombings in Iraq, to the drone attacks in Pakistan, and the civilian murders in Afghanistan. The choice is to continue this action or not. And they do not have a moral leg to stand on.
A couple of months ago the British press was quoting senior civil servants and those in Government saying “the special relationship with the US is over”, there were calls to withdraw the troops from Afghanistan, and also of a shortage of hospital beds in the UK because of those wounded in Afghanistan.
Suddenly around the same time, the largest British Corporations get into trouble. British Airways is repeatedly grounded through strike action, apparently from victimization of staff, an easily orchestrated event. The Prudential gets into trouble trying to buy an Asian insurance company, and Cheney’s Halliburton manages to make a “fix” on British Petroleum’s Gulf rig.
A cryptic last line: When the Russians overthrew the Tzars, it did not mean denying they were All Russians. The Jews (Israelis?) could overthrow their masters, and if its important, they could stay as Jews. The Iranian’s didn’t stop being Iranian’s when they overthrew the shah.
We are being run by an “Old Guard”, descendents of Jabotinsky, Sharon, Wolfowitz, Bibi, and secretive elites in Western Metropolises. And none of them know to “respect one’s enemy”. And they are taking us all to disaster.
With great appreciation, last week I was invited to talk on a PressTV program – and it is true that I have worked in TVJounalism in war zones, in times of war and in Israel/Palestine.
These are just edited sections of where I appeared.

Wikileaks video on PressTV’s “Fine Print”
Former US Army specialist Josh Steiber
In an interview with Press TV, Josh Steiber explained the three years he spent in the US Army before he asked to be released as a conscientious objector.
Steiber said “the dehumanizing of people from other countries” was the main reason that he quit the Army.
It seems Isreal can continue to oppress, provoke and ethnically cleanse the Palestinians, any opposition can be dealt with, even from outside Israel. Even if all the world chose to economically boycott Israel, it would not interfere in the fierce nationalism, anyway busting sanctions is as old as humanity.
But there is increasing talk of a war with Lebanon and or Syria and Iran. Such is the holistic mind, the drive for hegemony knows no limits. And all empires overeach.
There is no way Israel can withstand a “real” war. It would quickly resort to using Nuclear weapons. War crimes have anyway been the hallmark of the Zionists and their NeoCon allies.
Probably the World will react in an active way, and turn against Jews and Neocons in general. Israel would genuinely be seen as a menace to humanity. Once the Bankers are under attack the entire mercantile fiat money debt driven society would be under attack. No more AIPAC, no more lobbies, no more holocaust movies, probably something autocratic will appear, but it won’t be Jewish. Israel will have ended the Jewish century.
There is an awesome Israeli media frenzy against Israel’s Foreign Minister (Time to go, Lieberman , and Haaretz) the avowed racist, regardless of the reasons given, one wonders what the real truth is. He would happily use Nuclear weapons.
The Israelis have spent the last ten years miscalculating, underestimating their enemies and overestimating themselves. Maybe its going to be a hot summer.
That was a war council in Damascus
* Last Updated: March 01. 2010 12:13AM UAE / February 28. 2010 8:13PM GMT
The three-party meeting that took place in Damascus on Friday gathering the Syrian president Bashar al Assad, the Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and the Hizbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah was a war council to devise counterattack plans and assign tasks in the event of an Israeli offensive on one or all parties, wrote Abdelbari Atwan, the editor-in-chief of the pan-Arab newspaper Al Quds al Arabi.
“The timing of the meeting, the way it was undertaken and the ensuing press conference that was held at its conclusion, all point to a strategic coalition being reinforced. This is the build-up of a new front that will spearhead the confrontation with the US-Israeli alliance and whichever Arab countries that may, expressly or implicitly, be affiliated with it.”
The Iranian president said he expects war to break out somewhere between spring and summer of this year. Meanwhile, the Hizbollah chief vowed to strike the Israeli capital, its airports and power stations if Israel dared to attack Beirut’s critical infrastructure.
“Indeed, we are being exposed to a new discourse here, an unprecedented sense of self-confidence and an unheard-of preparedness for retaliation.”
The Joint Forces Command’s Joint Communications Support Element deployed two teams equipped with satellite systems and VoIP phones to support SOUTCOM in Port-au-Prince late Wednesday. Those systems were operational “in a matter of hours,” said JCSE Chief of Staff Chris Wilson. The organization will send another team to Haiti in the next few days.
Wilson said JCSE was able to get its gear into Haiti quickly because the systems already were loaded on pallets in Miami in preparation for an exercise that has been canceled. http://www.nextgov.com/nextgov/ng_20100115_9940.php

Blood Sweat and Tears sang “What goes up must come down”
When considering the calamities that have befallen Israel’s adversaries, and all the innocents in the cross fire.
When all the walls caved in all around the victims. Because of a blinkered ruthlessness that is ruining and has ruined so many innocents.
One wonders what will come of these arrest warrants for Israeli leaders on war crimes charges.
And as bad as the charges are, and the likelihood they can be avoided, are they perhaps a harbinger of what is to come?
That Israel is covered in weapons and security personnel from one end to the other and everywhere in between is well known. It is militarily stronger that anyone nearby. Yet are the pressures beginning to build up?
Where will the pressures end? Once it becomes clear that Israel is losing control over international opinion? Will it turn into a tsunami?
