Pakistan whither too?

with one comment

What has Pakistan got to do with Israel? Everything. Apart from having the Muslim bomb. Pakistan can regulate the Taliban’s anti NATO activities, upping or lowering their effectiveness. It is the other border with Iran that doesn’t have US troops.

If  Pakistan were neutralised (or in chaos): there are gas resources in the south – Baluchistan. The sea port Gawadar is now operational offering the Chinese military access to the Persian Gulf. Pakistan is also at odds with Israel’s ally India. And Jewish power does not like Shariah law which Pakistan is constantly flirting with.

Bet on a Pakistan Coup

Back to the future in Pakistan? Last week, General Ashfaq Kiyani flew to Washington for consultations with the Obama Administration; this week, it’s reported from Pakistan, he warned President Asif Ali Zardari to “set things right” in the country before March 16, when opposition forces are set to march on the capital. When the army puts the government on notice to clean up its act, you know what’s coming next. –more–

Pakistan Unravels

President Zardari is losing his grip on the country.

President Asif Ali Zardari took office last September promising to consolidate Pakistan’s democracy. Instead, as Tuesday’s terrorist attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team in Lahore showed, his poor political decisions are allowing the militants to gain the upper hand — and ripping Pakistan apart in the process.  –more–

Time For A Pakistani Putin

ISLAMABAD, PakistanU.S. and U.K.-backed democracy is destroying Pakistan the same way it almost brought Russia to collapse in the 1990s. Pakistan needs a creative and unorthodox solution. This includes curtailing some of the chaotic aspects of democracy in order to help Pakistan heal and stabilize. The current system has a government installed by Washington pursuing the Anglo-American agenda of wiping out Pakistan to pave the way for an Indian role in Afghanistan and Central-West Asia and neutralize China, Russia and Iran. The way to counter this strategy is to extricate Pakistan from the American grip.
