All Israeli eyes incredulous at Hamas rearming

leave a comment »

Israel is so flummoxed by Hamas’ rearmament. It is unabated. There are schisms appearing all around the international landscape as well. Israeli Defense Minister Barak has just canceled a scheduled visit to see Robert Gates.

The Goal Posts have moved for Israel with such a suddenness, it does not know how to respond, the electorate is largely on the right, through years of financing.

Likelihood is Israel will opt for more war, this is all it knows, If Hamas now has C802s as reported below, then it is safe to assume it also has missiles capable of hitting Tel Aviv or Airfields that have nuclear weapons.

All the time Israel maintains the senseless blockade, losing international support, and not hindering the arms smuggling.

We can only guess Hamas has a big corridor tunnel, very deep, very long, and is possibly only limited by the training of personnel.

Possibly the Israelis believe that the blockade will expose the distribution network from where the tunnels goods arrive, this has not proved to be true.

The water supply is a concern, and contaminating it would be a war crime.

Surely it is time to recognise the Palestinians rights. Ironically even if the Politicians did, the electorate wouldn’t support it.

Iran’s C-802 shore-to-ship missile

DEBKAfile’s military sources reveal a formidable addition to Hamas’ arsenal: The missile fired from Gaza out to the Mediterranean last week was not a Qassam as reported but a C-802, the Iranian shore-to-ship Nur C-802 missile, which is based on the Chinese “Silkworm.”

… With its 120-km range and 165-kilo warhead, the C-802’s mission is to break Israel’s 40 km blockade of Gaza’s waters…. On July 14, it was used by Hizballah to cripple the Hanit missile ship opposite Beirut…. –more–
