“Non-violence is not inaction. It is not discussion. It is not for the timid or weak… Non-violence is hard work. It is the willingness to sacrifice. It is the patience to win.” César Estrada Chávez (19271993) was an American labor leader, and civil rights activist.

According to Diakonia.se and as reported by many bloggers (Land & people, Kaboob Fest, Epiphanies amongst others.) Stockholm Community Council announced on Tuesday (the day Obama was sworn in incidentally) that the French company Veolia, which has been operating Stockholm’s subway for the past ten years, has lost its contract worth 3.5 billion Euro and which has been “the biggest ongoing public contract procurement process in Europe.”
Veolia is involved in an infamous tramway project that is intended as a fait accompli project which will transfigure Jerusalem and connect the western part of the city with the illegal settlements on the Palestinian stolen and occupied territories.
