Judaism as it really is:

leave a comment »

This is part of a comment left on a mondoweiss article:

Judaism evolved sophisticated and complex control mechanisms to keep Jews in the fold.

This involved racial and social indoctrination, but it also needed a good P.R. cover to keep the more idealistic young from rejecting the Jews as just another tribe of parochial bigots, and to point non-Jews towards as a red-herring. Hence it came up with phony feel-good concepts like Tikkun Olam that ostensibly “proved” Jews were a more moral, enlightened and evolved people, (and were on a sacred mission) but it’s all illusion and spin, as demonstrated by the facts on the ground that anyone with even one eye open can plainly see by observing collective Jewish behavior and its manifestations.

I think the above describes Israel, Zionism and the religious neocon philosophy, all of which is actively pursued.

Afghanistan allied military death toll: 900. Security deteriorating, roads unsafe.

with one comment

There were three UK deaths this week. And an official wounded tally of 340 since the start. The UK is about to boost its troop strength to 8,000, double that of Iraq.
Obama’s Brezinski says raising troop levels in Afghanistan IS A BIG MISTAKE.

NATO/U.S.-LED COALITION FORCES [DEATHS]:

United States 560

Britain 112

Canada 88

Germany 26*

Spain 23

Netherlands 16

Other nations 75

TOTAL: 900

* NOTE: Figures supplied by German Ministry of Defence.
Sources: Reuters/icasualties (www.icasualties.org/oef), compiled from official figures

Deaths do not include contractors / mercenaries.

These comments are on Iraq but they equally apply to Afghanistan.:

As numerous studies have, by now, made clear, the abject failure of the American occupation of Iraq came about in significant measure because the Department of Defense sent a remarkably privatized military filled with incompetent amateurs to Baghdad to administer the running of a defeated country. Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates (a former director of the CIA) has repeatedly warned that the United States is turning over far too many functions to the military [] both the military and the intelligence services have turned over far too many of their tasks to private companies and mercenaries.

…our government is no longer capable of accurately assessing what is going on in the world [] because its intelligence agencies are so open to pressure, penetration, and manipulation of every kind.
From The Asia Times

The increasing need for helicopters is because of a deteriorating situation.

British forces are so short of helicopters in Afghanistan and Iraq that they are considering renting them from other countries, or even from the controversial US security contractor Blackwater.
….

10 days ago Obama said the Afghan situation was “precarious and urgent” that’s what the military must have told him.

Murray Brewster, THE CANADIAN PRESS OTTAWA – Canada will lease up to eight Russian-built helicopters to ferry supplies around the battlefield in Afghanistan until it gets new U.S. choppers, says Defence Minister Peter MacKay.

It is a stopgap measure meant to get Canadian army supply convoys off the bomb-laced roads of Kandahar, where explosives have been taking an increasingly deadly toll.
[]
A deal, possibly worth $100 million, to lease of a flight of uninhabited aerial vehicles – or UAVs – from MacDonald Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. and Israeli Air Industries Ltd. was expected to be approved this week by the federal cabinet.

“Although most neocons are Jews, few Jews are neocons”

leave a comment »

The Neocons still are setting the agenda. We are still reduced to discussing what they will or will not do (Iran). Yet more and more people are distancing themselves from the Neocons.
In an IPS article on Joe Klein. “Neocon Flap Highlights Jewish Divide”, Jim Lobe says:

M. J. Rosenberg, a former AIPAC staffer now associated with the moderate Israel Policy Forum, expressed the hope that commentators would stop equating neo-conservatism with Judaism and start treating it as a political movement subject to political criticism.

“Although most neocons are Jews, few Jews are neocons,” he wrote Wednesday. By equating the two groups, “[the neocons] want Americans not to follow the trail of war-mongering that leads not to Jews but to them”.

And good Jews who spoke out, who said war mongering isn’t necesarilly Jewish, are no longer so much in the wilderness:

When it comes to Israel, it’s usually best to avoid official versions of every event. Lying has become a full-time business.
Old post on Antony Loewenstein’s blog

But an Israeli is unlikely to be outspoken, unless it is in his or her profession (politician or journalist). In the meantime there is an order of a military chain. Of somehow trying to exersize personal judgement, while sacrificing for country and ancestors (Statehood and Religion).

As Edmund Burke said, “All that’s necessary for the forces of evil to win in the world is for enough good men to do nothing.”

Joe Klein, Time Blog: The Neocons as Bullies

leave a comment »

As the banks crash, people become homeless, vaccinations incapacitate people.
We at least can discuss the endless possibilities of war with Iran.
This in itself is a crime. While the US nation and it’s generation are wasted on killing and bankrupting, we are also reduced to discussing the hypothetical: a war or not another war.

.

Edit August 17th, I think while the above is true, I missed the argument, please see here for more: https://morris108.wordpress.com/?s=dual+loyalties

Joe Klein at Time Blog: Excerpt:

I don’t think a war with Iran is coming, thank God, but this time I am not going to pull any punches. My voice isn’t very important in the grand scheme of things, but I’m going to do my job–and that means letting you know exactly where I stand and what I believe. I believe there are a small group of Jewish neoconservatives who are pushing for war with Iran because they believe it is in America’s long-term interests and because they believe Israel’s existence is at stake. They are wrong and recent history tells us they are dangerous. They are also bullies and I’m not going to be intimidated by them.

America’s house price time bomb

The trend of people now positively choosing to walk away because it makes financial sense to do so is a worrying new development. …

Lloyds TSB warns: Last Updated: 11:50am BST 30/07/2008

High street bank Lloyds TSB today warned of a slowing economy and a 10pc-15pc tumble in house prices this year after reporting a 70pc slump in first half profits on the back of further credit market writedowns and volatility in its insurance business.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/

Huge writedowns forecast for banks:

The banking industry will be forced to take hundreds of billions of dollars of further writedowns on mortgage-backed securities after Merrill Lynch sold $30.6 billion (£15.5 billion) of collateralised debt obligations (CDOs) for only 22 per cent of their face value on Monday, according to a leading US ratings expert.

Aussi Bank Writedown Shock Street?

The National Australia Bank’s decision to write off 90 per cent of its US conduit loans will have dramatic repercussions around the world. Wall Street will be deeply shocked when they understand the repercussions of what NAB has done. It is clear global banks have nowhere near provided for their exposures to US housing loans which in the words of John Stewart are experiencing a “meltdown”.
.
We are now way beyond sub-prime. NAB says that it is suffering a 55 per cent loss on American housing loans – an event that has never happened in the history of a developed country in recent memory. This is an unprecedented event and means that the cost of bailing out the US financial system is now far beyond the highest estimates. A US recession is now locked in, but more alarmingly, 55 per cent loan losses point to the possibility of a depression.
.

.

Nothing but pain

That is why Mr [Ron] Paul says, “The financial crisis, still in its early stages, is apparent to everyone”, and that there is “little doubt” about “whether we’ll get stagflation. The question that will soon be asked is: When will the stagflation become an inflationary depression?”

One of the things that he finds worrisome is that “things may even be worse than I first thought”

And George Ure atUrbanSurvival.com seems to agree with Mr Paul’s “Big Event” prediction, and says, “We’re now inside the 90-day window to what I expect will be the ‘Fall in the Fall’ of the markets for any number of reasons.”

And, apparently, Ambrose Evans-Pritchard at The Telegraph in London agrees with us, too, and writes, “We are now at the point of maximum danger. The US may soon tip into a second leg of this crisis as the fiscal package runs out and Americans lose jobs in earnest.”

http://www.atimes.com/atimes/Global_Economy/JG30Dj01.html

Sadly (in the short term) all the uncertainty plays into the hands of the Oligarchy. People are afraid, and then preoccupied with their own problems.

The empire is a blip!

leave a comment »

The empire is afraid of being shamed.
And the empire is bringing shame on everyone.
With a zealousness to spread lies
and put paid to all alternatives.
That its grip is fraying is certain

Who wants to do business with darkness?.
As the green blooded monster dies, only the innocent are dying.
And everyone else vultures off of the monsters tunnel vision, its blindness.
To make a myth a reality has created a crazed people.
Causing suffering and despair, all for a dynasty.
One loss after another.
Everything is measured in losses!

Stooping lower and lower in the pursuit of allies.
The clock says: alienating everyone!
The only victories are lies.
Never truths.
Don’t mix war with anything, this is the outcome.
If the people of Europe or America thought they could overthrow the rulers and their wars and spin. They would be on the streets. That day will come.

Footnote, To put it in more real terms:
Russia’s Gazprom has all of Libya’s oil output and most of central Asia’s Gas.
China has Algeria, Angola, Chad and Sudan and Yemen’s oil.
Venezuela and Iran are anything but America’s friend.
And whatever oil concessions the US extracts from Iraq, the pipelines are at the mercy of its enemies, in perpetuity.
All the US oil executives in the Bush administration ended up with, is very little.
And the bad name for the hidden supporters is not so hidden.
One moral to the story: Corporations are inferior to state owned/governed enterprises.

Fascism is often described as subservience to corporatism.

Re the Housing Bill; Capitalism saying ‘foreclose’, will fuel a (needed) revolution.

leave a comment »

The issue of foreclosures, with an estimated near 3 million for both 2008 and 09. These are families that will have to move, either to a cheaper home, a rented property, a caravan, a car, or be homeless. Presumably many families will break up from the stress. Yet this is capitalism at work. The laws are designed to protect capital and our dog eat dog way of life.

Yes a piecemeal housing bill has just been passed that will buy time for maybe 5 percent of these homeowners.

Yet on reflection it is hard to understand how uprooting people and families can be of any benefit to society at all. I doubt if there is any alterior motive, like, for example force them into the military.

It is all seen as a way of protecting the banks and the economic system.
How can uprooting millions be good for the system? It isn’t even a social revolution, like the agricultural or industrial revolution, it isn’t a system in transition like in the fall of communism.

It is pure and simple capitalism. The moneyed bankers and home loans associations needing to balance their books, which is any way impossible. And hardly a new idea to be heard from anyone anywhere, only Ron Paul is suggesting a revolution.

Presumably Britain will be facing a similar crisis. Yet I am sure they will make more effort to alleviate the suffering, and also not enough.
And back to the US, the government is waging wars to help Americans. And the banks are all indebted to foreigners. What a sham!

When the gap between rich and poor increases that is when trouble starts.
The rich lobbies that are the US Govt are sewing the seeds of revolution themselves.

By contrast, there are likely to be 2.5 million to 3 million foreclosures in both 2008 and 2009. This means that the housing bill will likely help less than five percent of the families facing foreclosure over the next two years, leaving 95 percent of this group out of luck.
