Gaza ceasefire: Israeli pledges to withdraw troops from Gaza, Hamas to keep rockets – Debka
Debka has not been useful during the Gaza conflict, just a propoganda machine for the war. Surprise suprise. In the Georgia conflict it was the first to warn of a Russian backlash against Israel. And actually in this conflict the first to warn of Israel losing Turkey.
But now it says Israel is going to withdraw, and agree to Hamas’ terms. Unless the intention is to lull an enemy into a false sense of security: Hizbollah, Iran, then I see no reason to doubt its truth.
I can’t imagine Israel returning back to the way it was. Pretending the fiasco will go away. Maybe there will be a surprise in the elections.
i am so tired of Israel, but they will not allow me a life, only to reflect on the jews and Israel. What kharma …
Gaza ceasefire: Israeli pledges to withdraw troops from Gaza, Hamas to keep shooting rockets
January 16, 2009, 10:34 PM (GMT+02:00)
DEBKAfile’s sources reveal the outline of an evolving ceasefire accord, dismissed as farcical by a furious Israeli military command: Israel has promised the US and Egypt to start pulling its troops out of the Gaza Strip within days and, at some point, open the six border crossings. Israeli prime minister Ehud Olmert, defense minister Ehud Barak and foreign minister Tzipi Livni, the group running the Gaza war, have approved this arrangement and will put it before the security cabinet Saturday night, Jan. 17.
Israel is therefore submitting to Hamas’ two main demands, while ending its three-week military operation without achieving its two primary goals: Hamas vows to keep on firing missiles until the last Israel soldier quits the Gaza Strip and neither of the memoranda Israel signed with the US and Egypt Friday, Jan. 16, guarantees to halt the flow of smuggled weapons into Gaza.
Next week, Hamas plans to grandstand its armed forces’ restored control over the Gaza Strip.
The madness of anti semitism (rant)
The anti semites stoop so low! They say the jews want men to be effeminite.
The jews are involved in all sorts of crime and all the time appearing respectable.
That Israel is a money laundering criminal institute, and that it controls other countries.
That a person’s value is according to who their parents were.
The list goes on and on. Sheer madness.
All of this frothing to the top because of Gaza.
And Turkey joining Iran and Syria because of Gaza.
And the Israelis are going to keep bombing women and children with white phosphorous.
And Hamas knows that any surrender means imprisonment and torture.
And can the Israelis tell their NeoCon zionist supporters where to go?
If Israel were to conquer Gaza, expect even more anti semitism.
All Israel can do is apologise and pay reparations, which is what it had to do before the lunatic primeval onslaught.
Israel, Zionism and judaism are now in tatters. The blowback is starting.
If Israel continues, they can lose more satellites: Jordan or Egypt, or the American congress. The clock is ticking. Now Israelis are suspects. Thanks to their warlords.
And just wait for the whitewash, brought to you by Dennis Ross and Martin Indyk: There is a peace agreement, there is a ceasefire, a truce. No it won’t wash and it won’t work. The Jews / Israelis have to change their own warlords.
Them warlords are vicious people, they’ll aim to take you and me.
The race is on – another rant
Bloggers defaming the zionists, implying respect for hitler, predicting the demise of jewry.
The jewish police listening to phone calls and emails, undermining potential enemies.
Jews fighting for zionism and the right for israel to exist.
and a panopy of corruption and greed.
The warmongers are expanding their plans.
And the muslims are being forced to unite.
And most of us were preoccupied with daily concerns.
But the supremicism was threatened. This is the worst insult.
But why do the jews only pick on the weak? They relentlessly pursue for years on end, knowing a person has to sleep and breathe, that everyone is vulnerable.
Today the muslims unite (Turkey, Syria, Iran). Tomorrow who? It is the mechanisms of a police state, even jews are shunted here and there. No one is immune.
But the enforcers don’t know what they are fighting for. Though that doesn’t stop them enforcing. They’ve been nurtured to rule. That means no open debate.
It’s going to end in tears. Although the jews only fight with the weak and isolated, it does not mean they won’t stand up to the strong. If they had to confront the US or Russia they would. And they might.
When the hoards are marching – maybe within months it won’t be pretty. Expect another 9/11.
Or can the jews overthrow their warlords?

Turkey Israel relationship in the dustbin
Turkey is fast becoming one of Israel’s loudest opponents

How did Israel get in so much trouble, I mean with Public opinion
Everything has more or less gone in its favour. Campaigns against Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Pakistan, a general perception of Muslims as extremist Jihadists.
Favourable positions in Governments, Media and Finance. Also a lot of sympathy for the holocaust. Internal jewish scandals are kept well hidden by the secret jewish police.
Why should everyone be so aghast now? In the Afghan campaign bombing weddings and funerals has been a common practice. Once 5,000 prisoners were all bombed to smithereens.
Why this outcry now? Is it that inexplicable anti semitism? Or is it explicable? There is a body of Jews concerned for the Jewish image. They rarely allow anything to surface that allows the jews to be discredited. A lot of jews must be sick of being told what to say and what to do.
Maybe the resentment in the public at large has been building up. And the internet has been an avenue of information and ideas.
The atrocities in Gaza are ghastly, but they have also been going on Iraq, Afghanistan etc. But Israel has been front page news for decades, along with the holocaust. Now we are all suffering from having to pay for this war on terror. And ignoring any Israeli involvement, we at least know Israel has always been a firm supporter.
All our Governments (and press) support Israel throughout the years. Maybe everyone is sick of it, just fed up with the whole oppression / spin thing.
Maybe on a personal level people have felt the pain of opposing zionism. Losing jobs or promotions. And it can go a lot lot worse (I know).
How can Israel right itself? Only by challenging the philosophy that is driving it. Duty to the family is the preeminent criteria for promotion. This is noble. And apart from the dogmatism, it is not that unique. Every culture in the world cherishes family values. It is the dogmatism that is questionable. Although many slip through the net of family respectability by putting on a facade.
We can assume the military man who led the Israelis on the northern front in Lebanon in 2006, and then was the Georgia’s chief adviser in its ill fated onslaught on the Russians. Was a good family man, in fact his father had been a celebrated war hero. Well maybe the religious dogmatism has no place in running politics? But the reality is, it does.
Is it not a time to question what mistakes are being made? Livni, Olmert and Rahm all come from militaristicly sympathetic families. And therefore the jewish religious people condone their ascendancy. If this is all new to you, it might sound far fetched, but if you know Israel it will be understood.
Now it just so happens most people do follow the politics of their parents. But that is just ‘most’.
There is nothing greater on this earth than the family. It is the greatest institution there is. The Indians, Chinese, Muslims and everyone else worship it.
No doubt the Rockefellers and Rothschilds live for the success of their families. But the nepotism has taken on a religious fervour. In our criminal age when you hear someone say they are going to visit their family, it is often a cover for other pursuits. And how ironic that the lesser jewish influenced world has a far better track record for families staying intact. And equally all those Muslims too.
If Jewish rule is being questioned more than ever, isn’t it time to soul search?
We can safely assume that those that are carrying out war crimes, are doing it for the love of their families. We need a perspective, and we need a relativity. Somehow a system where truth is also important. And a compassion for humanity as well.
Me, I would love a family. But the Jewish police are making my life a hell.
ps. When Rabin died, it was the duty of his wife to speak for his movement. This was ‘Jewish’. Great soul she was! But maybe it wasn’t the best idea. Yet the hidden dogmatism ruled.
The seductive Tzipi Livni- NOT! – miscellany101
A new blogger – who can write!
Israeli foreign minister Tzipi Livni is coming to Washington, DC ostensibly to talk to members of the Bush administration about Gaza, but that’s obviously a lie, since there is now no longer a Bush administration. Rather what she’s coming to do is to read the Obama administration the riot act, using the carrot and stick approach.
The Israelis would probably like to have a little more time destroying the infrastructure of Gaza and Egypt as well as make a case for their more ambitious goals for the Middle East, but they want to see if Obama is ‘down with the program’ so she’s coming to test the waters and see what she finds. On the eve of the inauguration, she’ll probably find indifferent Bush people who wanna get the hell out of town, and inebriated Obama people who are ready to paaaaaarrrrtyyyyyyy, except the loyalists to her cause who are always alert to every opportunity …

Israelis destroy UN offices, food stock in Gaza
GAZA CITY, Jan 15: Israel shelled the United Nations headquarters in the Gaza Strip on Thursday, engulfing the compound and a warehouse in fire, destroying thousands of pounds of food and humanitarian supplies intended for Palestinian refugees and triggering world condemnation and protests at the attack.
UN workers and Palestinian fire-fighters, some wearing bullet-proof jackets, struggled to douse the flames and pull bags of food aid from the debris after the attack.
In another air strike, Israel killed senior Hamas Interior Minister Said Siam along with his brother and son, Hamas said.
Separately, Israeli planes hit a UN school in another Gaza City neighbourhood, wounding 14 people who had sought sanctuary there, medics and fire-fighters said.
Said Siam was slain along with his brother and son in the Israeli air strike on his brother’s house north of Gaza City, Hamas said, as it vowed to avenge its leader’s death.
UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, who is in the region to end Israel’s devastating offensive against Gaza, demanded a “full explanation” of the air strike on the UN HQ and said the Israeli defence minister told him there had been a “grave mistake.”

Hospitals Coping in Battered Basra

By CHARLES J. HANLEY
AMMAN, Jordan (AP) — Hospitals in bombed and besieged Basra are coping so far with a flood of war casualties, but a lengthy, bloody standoff could deplete supplies of anesthetics, antibiotics and other essentials, the U.N. medical chief for Iraq said Saturday.
Dr. Ghulam R. Popal said he was concerned, too, about thousands of chronically ill patients – suffering from diabetes, hypertension and other conditions – who may be stranded, kept from regular treatments by the shelling and bombing of the southern Iraqi city by British and U.S. forces.
For the past week, British ground units have tightened a cordon around Basra, Iraq’s second-largest city, in order to pressure its paramilitary and regular army defenders to surrender.
A U.S. Central Command spokesman, Air Force Maj. Gen. Gene Renuart, said Saturday that British forces had secured the Basra refinery, and had moved into place so that they could prevent regular Iraqi army troops north of the city from entering it to reinforce units still loyal to Saddam Hussein.
And striking before dawn, British tanks and infantry staged a lightning raid into Basra on Saturday, destroying five Iraqi tanks and blowing up two statues of Saddam Hussein before withdrawing.
Late Friday, U.S. warplanes using laser-guided missiles destroyed a two-story building in Basra where some 200 Iraqi paramilitary fighters were said to be meeting, the U.S. military said.
In Baghdad on Saturday, Iraq’s information minister, Mohammed Saeed al-Sahhaf, said an air strike had destroyed a Basra warehouse holding thousands of tons of food for the city.
